Parenting is a challenge, but it can be even more so when your child, like mine, has special needs. Over the years, I have found the internet to be an invaluable source of information and online support groups, and I am incredibly grateful for it.
A few months ago, I found myself searching for online help again. After my younger son had a series of first-time seizures earlier this year, he was diagnosed with epilepsy. Since it is not a rare condition, I was able to find a lot of information and support. Someone shared that Reddit is their go-to, which surprised me; isn’t that where people look at memes and engage in political rants? Little did I know, there is a universe of information on there, and the platform is a literal treasure trove for anything you might be interested in.
