Did you know? The word of the year in 2020 was “pandemic.” And the pandemic was the topic of my top blog post in 2020. According to OxfordLanguages , “vax” is the word of the year for 2021 Indeed, it’s clear that COVID-19 has changed our lives forever.

This year, I didn’t let the pandemic stop me from taking a much-needed vacation. I wasn’t without struggle, however. The last few days of my vacation were filled with scary news about my family, which affected the rest of my year. These personal events empowered me to do what I do best…write.
